As an anecdote, let us recall the recent emergence of a high-end brand under the name of Czapek, the origins of which refer to Franciszek Czapek and his strategy clearly focused on high-end replica rolex watches women, as shown in the Odyssey model.
Its complications are highly acclaimed and include chronographs, perpetual calendars, annual calendars and minute repeaters. Without a doubt, the combination of chronograph and perpetual calendar are the hallmark of the house.
It goes without saying that Patek Philippe maintains other complications such as the enameling of the dials and other types of finishes that are pure art, far beyond the mechanical field.
Patek Philippe & Co followed suit, incorporating the Calatrava Cross into its brand in 1887, and after several successions of the company, always within the family circle, the Stern family took over the company in 1932. These were difficult times and the Stern family was already a supplier of dials to Patek Philippe when the opportunity arose to acquire it.
Since then, Patek Philippe has been in the hands of the Stern family, with Charles and Jean Stern, Henry Stern, Philippe Stern and Thierry Stern, the current president of the brand, who will undoubtedly be succeeded by his sons who are already working in the Genevan company.
If we were to talk about Patek’s owners, it would be impossible to bring so many personalities together, but we could not fail to mention some illustrious personalities such as Queen Victoria and Elizabeth II, Princess Diana of Wales, Pope Pius IX, Albert Einstein, John F. Kennedy, Nelson Mandela, Pablo Picasso and even the banker Henry Graves and his famous complication watches.
In the early 20th century, banker Henry Graves competed with James Ward Packard to see who owned the most complicated watch in the world.
Patek Philippe is the number one brand. The Rolls Royce of watches. The most prestigious watchmaker in the world. And undoubtedly, the one that has broken the most records on the auction block. It is both easy and difficult to talk about the Swiss manufacture. We all know about it, but only a few know it well, as a company, as a brand and as a legacy.
If we think back to its famous advertisements, Patek Philippe makes it clear that it is clearly more than just a good fake rolex. There is something familiar about it. There is something about perpetuating traditions. Because, as they say, “A Patek Philippe is never entirely yours. Yours is the pleasure of guarding it until the next generation”.
A slogan that in this case is more than an advertising claim. It’s not just a fa?ade, it has a real story behind it to back up this claim. At Patek, things are different, they always were…
Originally founded in 1839, Antoni Patek joined forces with the Polish watchmaker Franciszek Czapek. From its origins, its aim was to manufacture and market the finest watches that could be built. Antoni Patek was the business genius and marketer while Czapek was the watchmaker.
The relationship only lasted 5 years when Antoni Patek parted company with Czapek, to join the French watchmaker Adrien Philippe. Adrien was a renowned watchmaker who had worked for the wealthier classes and even introduced significant improvements in watchmaking.
